FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)— The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) is investigating a shooting that left a man in serious condition. An officer on scene told Wane 15 that officers responded to the 29 hundred block of Smith Street on reports of a shooting. When officers arrived they found a man on the second story of a residence who had been shot. He was taken to a hospital is serious condition. FWPD did not provide any information regarding a suspect but did say the suspect left the scene. It's unclear at this time if there is any on going threat to the public. This shooting remains under investigation.
