FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Democratic Rep. Jim Costa was sworn in after winning reelection to represent California's 21st Congressional District.
On Friday, officials say this would be Costa's 11th term representing the San Joaquin Valley in Congress.
I am deeply honored to represent the people of the San Joaquin Valley in the 119th Congress. I remain committed to championing key priorities, such as lowering costs for families, repairing our aging water infrastructure, and building a medical school in the Valley. Now more than ever, Congress must rise above partisan gridlock and focus on governing effectively. Our constituents deserve nothing less than a government that delivers real solutions and progress.
Jim Costa
Costa won reelection back in November 2024, when he defended his seat against Republican Michael Maher. Maher also challenged Costa in 2022.
California’s 21st Congressional District includes the cities of Fresno, Dinuba, Exeter, Parlier, Reedley, Sanger, Selma and other communities in Fresno and Tulare counties.
