Wichita man accused of robbing a Junction City bank, 2 others

TOPEKA (KSNT) - A man is facing charges, accused of robbing a bank in Junction City last week.
On Friday, The U.S. Department of Justice charged a 20-year-old Wichita man with three counts of bank robbery. According to a news release from the agency, it's accusing him robbing Sunflower Bank in Junction City while showing a firearm in Dec, 27 2024. The man is also tied to two other bank robberies in Wichita last month.
Investigators believe one of those robberies was with an 18-year-old Wichita woman. The department is also charging her with one count of bank robbery. Several different law enforcement agencies are still investigating the robberies at this time.

According to the Department of Justice, an indictment is only an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable measure in a court of law.
