EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — An investigation is underway after police responded to a call for shots fired near an East Providence park Friday evening. Officers tell 12 News they found numerous shell casings at the park on McCausland Avenue, but say no injuries or suspects have been reported at this time. Neighbors tell 12 News police have been on scene for at least a couple of hours. Several surrounding blocks are closed off, and a 12 News crew could see police tape in the area, as well as a drone hovering over McCausland Avenue.
