HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Two pedestrians have died in unrelated crashes Friday, one of them a hit-and-run, Hampton Police said. (Photo - Hampton Police Division) Police said that at around 5:08 p.m., a call came in for a pedestrian accident at the Settlers Landing Road and LaSalle Avenue intersection. When Hampton Police and Fire units got to the scene, they found a woman with life-threatening injuries, police said. The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she later died. Police said that preliminary information, though limited, indicates that the victim was struck while crossing the road at the intersection, and the driver left the scene. (Photo - Hampton Police Division) A call for a second pedestrian crash came in around 5:42 p.m. at the corner of Todds Lane and Aberdeen Road, police said. Hampton Police and Fire units arrived to find a man suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. Members of the Hampton Police Division Accident Reconstruction Team are also investigating the circumstances of this crash, in which the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
