NEW YORK ( AP) — If you have been debating which streaming service you’d like to sign up, for but just can’t seem to make up your mind one service is hoping they can grab your attention with some freebies.  Apple TV+ announced Friday plans to allow potential customers the chance to try them out and binge away all weekend. That’s right, the service is giving people two days to binge all of the shows and movies they can muster to their hearts content by giving them a glimpse of what they have to offer. Saturday January 4 and Sunday January 5 you can enjoy content on the streaming service free of charge. A move one professor of information and technology and public policy at Carnegie Mellon University, Michael D. Smith says is a window that is ” too short to ignore and not long enough to satisfy all demand.” Smith goes on to say, “This is not ‘I’m going to let you binge-watch this over the course of three or four days or a week or a couple weeks and then maybe you won’t subscribe next month,’” he said. “This is, ‘I’m giving you two days to explore my catalog. And I’m hoping that you’re going to find something in there that maybe you’ll binge. Maybe you’ll have time to binge the first six episodes, but it’s so cool you’ve got to come back and you’re going to be willing to subscribe to come back.’” If you do decide to check out the free offer and choose to sign up for good, the company says it will cost you $9.99 a month.
