The Hayfield/Schaeffer Academy girls basketball team stormed past Medford (0-9 overall) 69-34 in Medford Friday. Maggie Hansen and Lilly Morrissey each scored 15 points for the Vikings (6-4 overall), who led 20-2 to start the game. “It was nice to start 2025 with a road win,” HSA head coach Kasey Krekling said. “We didn’t shoot particularly well, but we played decent defense and rebounded better than we did to end 2024.
