A teenage boy was killed and another wounded amid gunfire in the Bronx on Friday, cops said.
A 911 call about an assault led police to find the two teens suffering from gunshot wounds on Macombs Road near Cromwell Ave. in Highbridge around 5:48 p.m., cops said.
At least four rounds were fired, a law enforcement source told the Daily News.
Medics rushed a 15-year-old to St. Barnabas Hospital with a wound to the left side of his chest. He was pronounced dead at the medical center, police said.

The other victim, a 17-year-old who was shot in his right abdomen, was taken also to St. Barnabas in stable condition.
A person of interest was in police custody within an hour of the shooting, according to law enforcement.
A witness who lives on the block told The News later Friday night that he was on the street at the time of the incident. He said he heard a flurry of gunshots — a couple more than reported by police — and saw the two youths splayed out on the ground after they were hit.
“I heard at least six shots,” the man said. “There were two guys shooting at people down the block and they ran west.
“One of the kids was lying in the street by the black car. They picked him up and put him on the stretcher. The other kid was lying on the sidewalk across the street. He was dead.”
