MARCY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) has released the names of those allegedly involved in the fatal beating of Robert Brooks at Marcy Correctional Facility. Fourteen people have been suspended without pay or have resigned. "Based on the evidence gathered in the ongoing investigations into the tragic death of Robert Brooks at Marcy Correctional Facility, Governor Hochul directed DOCCS Commissioner Martuscello to begin the termination process of those involved," said DOCCS in a statement. Those suspended without pay or have resigned are: Sgt. Michael Mashaw Sgt. Glenn Trombly CO Matthew Galliher CO Nicholas Anzalone CO David Kingsley CO Nicholas Kieffer CO Robert Kessler CO Michael Fisher CO Christopher Walrath CO Michael Along CO Shea Schoff CO David Walters Nurse Kyle Dashnaw CO Anthony Farina (resigned before suspension/termination) NY AG recuses office from Robert Brooks case Robert Brooks suffered multiple horrific injuries and died after being beaten as an inmate at Marcy Correctional Facility, according to court paperwork. On Thursday, The New York Attorney General's Office recused itself from the investigation and named Onondaga County District Attorney Bill Fitzpatrick as a special prosecutor in this case.
