A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 2:28 p.m. valid from 10 p.m. until Sunday 1 a.m. for Cayuga and Cortland counties."Total snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "The heaviest snowfall will be in the northern regions of the counties."
