Gallery: Remembering victims of Jan. 1 terror attack on Bourbon Street

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — More than 48 hours after the deadly terrorist attack in the French Quarter that left 14 dead and injured dozens of others, there is a sense of normalcy returning to New Orleans.
On Thursday, Jan. 2, Bourbon Street reopened bringing back, cars, street sweepers and delivery trucks making their way down the famous street.

Businesses were also cleaning and getting ready to reopen while others ran, jogged and strolled in the area past the many memorials placed to remember the lives lost in the tragic event.
Flowers and beads were placed near Iberville Street along with 14 crosses and roses signifying the 14 victims lost.
18-year-old Nikyra Dedeaux was a nursing student from Gulfport, Mississippi who was in town celebrating the new year with family.
27-year-old Nicole Perez was a deli manager in Metairie and mother to a son.
37-year-old Reggie Hunter was a Baton Rouge native, warehouse manager, and father of two.
21-year-old Hubert Gauthreaux was a graduate of Archbishop Shaw High School.
63-year-old Terrence Kennedy was a New Orleans native who loved sports and was a Steelers fan.
Kareem Badawi was a student at the University of Alabama and a recent graduate of Episcopal High School in Baton Rouge.
Drew Dauphin was a recent graduate of Auburn University.
Billy Dimaio was a New York-based Account Executive with a radio station company.
25-year-old Matthew Tenedario worked as a video technician at the Superdome and Smoothie King Center.
27-year-old Tiger Bech was a Lafayette native who played football at St. Thomas More High School and Princeton University.
The New Orleans Coroner has also identified the following victims of the attack:
40-year-old Elliot Wilkinson, of Slidell.
43-year-old Brandon Taylor, of Harvey.
One other person, a female, remains unidentified. A male British citizen is known, but his identity is currently withheld per the request of family.
President and First Lady of the United States Joe and Dr. Jill Biden are set to travel to New Orleans on Monday, Jan. 6 and will grieve with families and community members impacted by the attack.
