Mailboxes Hit by Vandals Early Thursday in East Lincoln

Lincoln Police cruiser. (Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Jan. 3)–Three cluster mailboxes in an east Lincoln neighborhood were vandalized early Thursday morning, resulting in $1,100 damage, while four unlocked vehicles were rummaged through.
This happened east of 70th and South Street, where vehicle glass was found near the mailboxes but no packages were believed to be taken. LPD public information manager Erika Thomas said on Friday that about 7pm Thursday, a stolen vehicle was recovered near 57th and Greenwood with damage consistent with hitting those cluster boxes. The vehicle was reported stolen Dec. 28 from the area of 65th and Fremont.
