Fond du Lac Police Detective promoted to Lieutenant in 24th year with department

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) - Chief of Police Aaron Goldstein and the Fond du Lac Police Department are celebrating as one of their detectives earned his promotion to the Lieutenant rank.
Effective Monday, January 6, Detective Nicholas Hahn will become Lieutenant Nicholas Hahn. Lt. Hahn has been with the Fond du Lac Police Department since 2001 after completing a certification program.

Lt. Hahn has spent his 23 years serving in multiple units, including as a SWAT Tactical Team Operator and assistant team leader, the SWAT Crisis Negotiation Team Leader, the Street Crimes Unit and even a School Resource Officer.
In addition, Lt. Hahn served on the Lake Winnebago Area Metro Enforcement Group's narcotics task force. As a detective, he led multiple investigations of homicides, assaults and internet crimes.
Lt. Hahn played a large role in developing a program to help children in families with drug problems.
Long-time Green Bay captain to retire after 27 years with Metro Fire Department
According to the release, he was named a Fond du Lac County Co-Officer of the Year in 2013. Lt. Hahn is set to work in the Special Services Division as a supervisor of criminal investigations and many more units.
