Wild West Shootout kicks off at Vado Speedway

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- The new year kicks off at Vado Speedway with the venue's biggest event of the year.
The 19th annual Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout will include six complete programs for super late models, modifieds and x-mods. Racing will take place on Jan. 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, and 12 at Vado Speedway.
The event will also include an open practice session from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3.
From there, it is full-speed ahead with the first round of racing starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4 and another complete session at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 5.
Additionally, a second open practice session is slated for Tuesday, Jan. 7.
Vado Speedway is billing this year's event as the "biggest in the history" of the track with more than 150 competitors from at least four countries.
