CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Law enforcement is searching for a 78-year-old man with dementia, according to police. Jerome Smalls was last seen Thursday by the West Ashley Inn on Savannah Highway, the Charleston Police Department reported. Detectives believe Smalls may be on foot and know he requires medical care. He was seen wearing a black jacket with a blue sweatshirt underneath, blue sweatpants, gray/white sneakers, and a black hat. Smalls is six feet one inch tall and weighs about 215 pounds.
