1 arrested for guns and drugs at Heritage Park: KCSO Park Rangers

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- One man was arrested for allegedly being in possession of a gun and drugs during a traffic stop at Heritage Park in east Bakersfield, according to a news release from the Kern County Sheriff's Office Park Rangers.
On Dec. 28, Park Rangers pulled a vehicle over at Heritage Park for a vehicle code violation and discovered the driver Jose Cancino, 32, in possession of loaded firearm, narcotics and paraphernalia inside the vehicle, park officials said.
Cancino was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance while armed with a firearm and being a prohibited person with a firearm. He's being held on $10,000 bail and is due in court Jan. 10.
A passenger with Cancino at the time was cited and released, officials said.
