BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The Kern County Coroner's Office identified a man who was stabbed in East Bakersfield on New Years Day. The coroner's office identified the man as Paul Camarillo Jr., 35, of Bakersfield. Camarillo was stabbed in the 500 block of East 19th Street. Total number of homicides in Kern County drops to lowest yearly rate in a decade Coroner officials say he was taken to Kern Medical where he was pronounced dead. Police say Kenneth Landcraft, 59, was arrested in connection to the stabbing. Landcraft is being held at no bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, according to the inmate booking website.
