Austin Police release video of suspect linked with Lakeline Mall shooting

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department released a video and photo of a suspect believed to be involved in a shooting at Lakeline Mall on Thursday.
Police are asking for the public's help to identify the man, who is believed to be in his late teens or early 20s, the agency said in a news release. Additionally, police said a victim also suffered minor injuries in connection with the incident.

Officers responded to the report of the shooting around 4 p.m., where they said a suspect left the scene immediately after. On Thursday, APD Police Chief Lisa Davis said the shooting happened after a dispute between two groups involving four people.

Although evidence at the scene indicated there were no victims, police said Friday one victim had minor injuries and "self-reported to the hospital" after they left the scene.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic man. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, dark pants and dark shoes, according to APD.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact APD's Aggravated Assault Unit at 512-974-5245. Tipsters can also make a tip anonymously via the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program website or by calling 512-472-8477. Police said a reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information that could lead to an arrest.
APD also requested the community’s assistance in gathering more information regarding the incident. Any videos, photos or details surrounding the incident can be submitted online.
