Breezy First Friday of 2025!
Jan 03, 2025
It’s not as windy as yesterday was, but we’re still looking at gusts in the 20s, with a few reaching the low 30s this morning! Wind will continue into this afternoon, making our highs in the mid and upper 30s feel like the 20s at times. We’ll stay mostly sunny, but similarly to what we saw on Thursday, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that we could have a raindrop or a snowflake or two later this afternoon thanks to far-traveling lake effect precipitation. Again though, just like yesterday, anything we do see would be very short-lived.
The cold really settles in as we get to the weekend. Both weekend days will be mostly sunny, but high temperatures will only reach the low 30s. It’ll be breezy as well, so expect it to feel like we’re in the 20s most of the time.
Clouds move back in on Monday as a storm passes to our south. Right now, it looks like this storm will throw a few flurries our way. However, if the track of the storm shifts ever-so-slightly to the north, we could end up with accumulating snow. We’ll let you know if any changes develop!
That’s our only real chance of precipitation through the middle of this coming week. Other than that, we keep the sunshine around and high temperatures remain around freezing!
Stay warm, and have a great first weekend of 2025!
