BEVERLY, Mass. (WPRI) — A man in Massachusetts solved a mystery that washed up on a beach in Beverly. After finding a bottle filled with messages in the sand, Douglas Turnbull was on a mission to connect the letters to their owners. The bottle was filled with messages from various family members who were writing to a man named Ken, who had passed away. He took to social media where people helped him find answers, including one commenter who found an obituary of someone in North Carolina that may have matched the names involved. After reaching out to the family, they said the bottle was thrown in the water off Marblehead and they do it every year in Ken's memory.
