A 20 year old man from Pierre is charged with seven different crimes after an incident Thursday night (Jan. 2, 2025). Information from the Pierre Police Department says Patrol Officers responded to the 700 block of East Wells Avenue around 7:30pm CT because D’Angelelo T. Prue was attempting to provoke a fight. The investigation determined Prue had consumed alcohol and illegal drugs, and was also in possession of illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a tobacco product. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hughes County Jail. Once at there, Prue became uncooperative for law enforcement and jail staff. Prue was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Ingesting a Toxic Substance, Possession of Marijuana Less Than 2 ounces, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Underage Possession of Tobacco Products, Underage Possession/Consumption of Alcohol, and Obstructing Law Enforcement. During further investigation, Prue was found to be in possession of a cellular phone that had been reported as stolen back in September 2024, in a different law enforcement jurisdiction. He was then also charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $400.
