First Oahu traffic fatality of 2025 claims life of 21yearold woman

A 21-year-old woman died as the result of a motor vehicle collision between an SUV and motorcycle Thursday evening in Kaaawa.

The woman was a passenger on the motorcycle which was being driven by a 22-year-old man.
The pair were traveling southbound on Kamehameha Highway when they struck a 31-year-old woman who was turning left onto the highway.

Upon impact, the motorcyclist and passenger were ejected onto the roadway. The 22-year-old male was transported to a hospital where he remains in serious condition. The 21-year-old woman was also transported to the hospital in serious condition, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The 31-year-old woman who was struck had a 33-year-old passenger in her vehicle at the time of the collision. They remained at the scene and were not injured.
