ORLANDO, FL (WNCN) — 2025 is off to a great start for Carrie Everett, winner of Miss North Carolina, who is preparing for this year's Miss America competition in Orlando. Miss America announced in a press release Thursday night the three winners of the 2025 Miss America's Got Talent Kawai Preliminary Competition: Miss Tennesee's Carley Vogel, Miss Pennsylvania's Paige Weinstein and Miss North Carolina's Carrie Everett. Courtesy of the Miss America organization Each winner received a $3,000 scholarship in recognition of "exceptional performances that showcased the delegates' artistry, skill, and dedication to their craft," according to the press release. The Thursday preliminary competition was held at the Walt Disney Theater in the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. The main Miss America competition and teen competition takes place this weekend at the Walt Disney Theater in Orlando. The competition is free to stream at PageantVision.com.
