(WFRV) - Authorities in the northwest part of Wisconsin say a driver was arrested after allegedly hitting a man on a state highway. According to the Burnett County Sheriff's Office, on January 3 at 12:05 a.m., a call came in reporting a vehicle hit a pedestrian on State Highway 35 at the intersection of County Road FF. When authorities got to the scene, a man was seen lying int he roadway with 'apparent severe injuries'. The release says the man was eventually flown to a hospital in Minnesota for medical treatment. The driver of the vehicle, identified as a 53-year-old from Wisconsin, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
