Stretch of Washington Center reduced to one lane for trail construction
Jan 03, 2025
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The ongoing expansion of the trails network in Fort Wayne will require the closing of a lane of travel on one of the city's busiest east-west thoroughfares.
Starting Friday, January 3, westbound traffic on Washington Center Road at Industrial Road will be restricted to one lane. That's just east of the I-69 overpass.
The traffic restriction is necessary because of work being done on a new section of the Pufferbelly Trail. The lane restriction will be in place until April 30.
