BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The California Highway Patrol says multiple people didn't heed their warning not to drink and drive over the New Year's holiday. Ten people were arrested in the Bakersfield area during the agency's two-day maximum enforcement period Tuesday and Wednesday, when extra officers were on patrol, Officer Jorge Toro said. Officers targeted speeding, distracted driving, seatbelt violations and impaired driving.
