PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Providence business is closing after half a century of business. Shoe store Berk’s on Thayer Street announced on social media that they will be closing at the end of the month. They note the decision was not made lightly, but that after 50 years, it was time to “Retire and move on.” The store is encouraging customers to take advantage of the final sales and promotions coming, before Berk’s closes on January 25.
