Frigid temps today with more snow on the way

The snow and frigid temperatures are here, with temperatures falling through the day into the lower 20s by late this afternoon. We will see more snow Sunday night and early morning, especially south of Fort Wayne.
Gusty winds northwest will cause some lake-effect snow showers especially north of Fort Wayne. Otherwise, we don't expect any additional accumulation and most places will see some flurries. Temperatures will fall into the lower 20s with wind chills in the lower teens.
Frigid air continues to stream into the area tonight with low temperatures falling into the teens overnight.
Saturday will be the coldest day this week with afternoon sunshine and a high in the lower 20s. Wind chills will be in the single digits.

A southern-based weather system will bring snow to the Great Lakes region late Sunday night with accumulating snowfall especially south of Fort Wayne.
A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for areas south of Fort Wayne from Sunday afternoon through early Monday. Areas of snow will develop Sunday evening and areas south of Fort Wayne could see 2-4" while areas around Fort Wayne will see 1-3".
