An 8-year-old boy was injured in a sledding accident and airlifted to a hospital in Salt Lake City on Tuesday.The Summit County Sheriff’s Office received a call about the accident around 4:10 p.m. and responded to an area near Mountain Valley Ranch Road and Weber Canyon Road.Felicia Sotelo with the Sheriff’s Office said deputies believe that the boy had been sledding and ran into a stationary snowmobile.“He was awake and breathing,” Sotelo said. “He was crying, which, with kids, that’s a good sign that they’re crying.”Because of the rural location, the child was airlifted by a medical helicopter and transported to a hospital in Salt Lake City.
