Letter: Americans are ready for a female president, just not Harris or Clinton
Jan 02, 2025
I was told by a very leftist acquaintance on Facebook that I was a fool for voting against women presidential candidates. In the most recent election I was told that I was a racist and hated women because I had expressed concern that President Biden promised to pick a Black woman as his running mate.
I found it disturbing that he selected race and gender boxes and didn’t look at the qualifications.
I couldn’t care less about race or gender.
I want a candidate who aligns with my values and viewpoints. If Condoleezza Rice had been running, she would have gotten my vote.
Kamala Harris? Not a chance.
Hillary Clinton? Nope.
This NYT article is lamenting the fact that Harris lost as a woman. No. She lost because she was incompetent. She was a weak leader with no track record, picked a useless running mate and didn’t relate to the majority of Americans. That had nothing to do with her being a woman. It was all about her being unprepared to wear the mantle of the leader of the free world.
