KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City police detectives are investigating after two people were found dead following a shooting Thursday night. KCPD said the incident happened near E. 87th Street and Blue Ridge Boulevard just after 7:30 p.m. According to police, officers were called to the area on reports of a shooting. When those officers arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds. EMS was called, and both men were pronounced dead at the scene. Joe’s Blog: Major winter storm ahead (THU-1/2) KCPD claims this incident is being investigated as a homicide. They believe that the shooting occurred after an interaction in a parking lot. Detectives and investigators are now canvassing the scene for any evidence, witnesses or surveillance footage.
