KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City police detectives are investigating after two people were found dead following a shooting Thursday night. KCPD said the incident happened near E. 87th Street and Blue Ridge Boulevard just after 7:30 p.m. According to police, officers were called to the area on reports of a shooting. When those officers arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds. EMS was called, and both men were pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives and investigators are now canvassing the scene for any evidence, witnesses or surveillance footage.
