1 dead, 2 hurt after shooting on southeast side of Indianapolis INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — One person is dead and two others were critically injured Thursday in a shooting on the city’s southeast side, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said in a news release. At 8:51 p.m. Thursday, IMPD Southeast District officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 3200 block of Capsella Lane. That is a residential area on the southwest of the I-465/I-74 interchange. Officers arrived to the scene and found three people with gunshot wounds. Officers administered medical aid to the injured people until medics arrived. A tourniquet was applied to one of them. One of the people found shot was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two were reportedly in critical condition. Investigators are unsure if the three people shot are suspects. Two witnesses, who were in the house at the time of the shooting, jumped out of a window and were cooperating with investigators. Investigators believe one of the occupants of the house was attempting to sell a firearm. One or two people showed up to the house. An argument occurred, which led to a physical altercation. Gunfire erupted shortly after. One of the witnesses came into the scene from inside the house and fired shots.
