FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Fort Wayne Fire Department (FWFD) responded to a house fire in the 300 block of West Williams Street on Thursday night. Upon arrival, firefighters located the fire in the kitchen. Crews were able to extinguish the fire within minutes, according to a release. Everyone in the home made it out safely, including two cats. However, one cat was found dead. Investigators found the cause to be an accidental cooking fire.
