(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) responded to a fatal RV fire near Platte Avenue on Thursday morning, Jan. 2. At around 10:06 a.m., CSFD was dispatched to an RV fire. Upon arrival, they found heavy smoke and low visibility with a smile fire in the RV. Fire crews removed one person, a woman, from the RV. Firefighters rendered medical aid to the woman, but she was dead on scene. Fire investigators are working to determine the origin and cause of fire. The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) will be assuming the death investigation.
