CSFD: One person is dead after fire in RV

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) responded to a fatal RV fire near Platte Avenue on Thursday morning, Jan. 2.
At around 10:06 a.m., CSFD was dispatched to an RV fire. Upon arrival, they found heavy smoke and low visibility with a smile fire in the RV. Fire crews removed one person, a woman, from the RV.
Firefighters rendered medical aid to the woman, but she was dead on scene. Fire investigators are working to determine the origin and cause of fire. The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) will be assuming the death investigation.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is currently on scene of a fatal fire near Platte Avenue.
On Thursday, Jan. 2, CSFD reported it was on scene of a fatal RV fire at 5595 E Bijou Street, near Platte Avenue. According to CSFD, the fire is out at this time, and investigators are responding.
