IREDELL CO., N.C. – The Iredell Co. Sheriff’s Office has arrested and charged a Cleveland man with sex crimes involving children. 37-year-old Shawn Phillip Pulver of Pleasant Creek Drive was taken into custody on Friday, December 27, 2024. He was booked into the Iredell County Detention Center and issued a $350,000 secured bond. The investigation into Pulver started in October 2024. Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell says his office received a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about an Iredell County resident suspected to be in possession of child sexual abuse materials. The Sheriff’s Office says one of their Special Victims Unit detectives determined that the child sexual abuse material was associated with an account on the social media platform called Kik. Search warrants executed on Pulver’s social media account confirmed the presence of multiple media files containing the child sexual abuse material. Pulver faces ten counts of Felony Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. The Sheriff’s Office says this investigation is ongoing, and additional charges could be filed.
