CONCORD, N.C. — A Concord mother accidentally glued her left eye shut thinking she was using eye drops when she grabbed nail glue instead. The woman’s daughter says her mom wears contacts and she grabbed the nail glue instead of the eye drops on December 27th. The mother ended up having to go to the hospital. Now, she has visited a doctor several times but they are not able to get the glue out of her eye. According to a Gofundme page, her eye has to remain shut for 5-7 weeks and doctors aren’t sure if her vision will be affected. The mother will be out of work due to the pain and discomfort. She is also a foster mother so money donated to the Gofundme will support her while she is out of work.
