JACKSON COUNTY (KSNT) - Five people were taken to an area hospital after a crash with suspected serious and minor injuries in Jackson County on Wednesday. At 6 p.m., an 83-year-old woman from Eagle Pass, TX, was driving a GMC Acadia west on 158th Road. A 56-year-old man from Saint Marys was driving a Chrysler Town & Country van south on US-75, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. According to the KHP, the 86-year-old woman failed to yield before going across US-75 and was hit by the Chrysler. Both of the vehicles came to rest on the west side of US-75. All of the occupants of the vehicles were taken to area hospitals with suspected minor injuries.
