The video uploaded under the username @meghan could signal an increased return to public life after years of Meghan and Prince Harry leaning into prioritizing their privacy. The British royal faced backlash and racism after marrying Harry, the Duke of Sussex, in 2018 before the couple moved to California in 2020. "It was a big adjustment — a huge adjustment to go from that kind of autonomy to a different life," Meghan told The Cut in a 2022 interview.
