PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police arrested a suspect in a knifepoint robbery attempt that occurred Thursday afternoon at the intersection of John and Governor Streets. The incident occurred at approximately 3:18 p.m. when the suspect approached the victim with a knife and grabbed her purse. The suspect then entered the victim’s car, left the purse and fled on foot.
