ISP investigating after two people were injured in interstate shooting

INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana State Police are investigating after two people with gunshot wounds arrived at a local hospital early Thursday morning.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to Community East Hospital for a report of a person shot around 1:45 a.m. Thursday.
When officers arrived, they located two people with gunshot wounds. IMPD did not give a condition on the victims, but discovered that the location of the shooting occurred on the interstate. Police didn't disclose exactly where the shooting took place.
ISP was notified and has taken over the investigation.
