(KRON) -- A preliminary 4.5 earthquake shook Wednesday evening in Lake County, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The earthquake occurred at 6:34 p.m. with its epicenter about 15 miles south of Clear Lake.
The USGS later upgraded the earthquake to a 4.7 after it previously said it was a 4.5. According to the National Weather Service, no tsunami danger has been reported.
The earthquake was felt in San Francisco and other parts of the Bay Area. Lake County -- although not one of the nine Bay Area counties -- is the first county north of Napa County in the Bay Area.

The earthquake is about two miles northwest of Cobb, according to the USGS.
