RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- As the world celebrated the arrival of 2025, the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Medical Center celebrated the arrival of its first baby of 2025. About 45 minutes into 2025, on Wednesday, Jan. 1, one family got a little bit bigger -- welcoming their new addition with the help of VCU Medical Center's labor and delivery staff. Officials shared a photo of the baby in question, complete with a VCU Health onesie, a crochet hat and, of course, some New Year's party favors. The first baby born at VCU Medical Center in 2025.
