Police say two injured after headon collision in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cranston Police Department said two people are injured after a head-on collision Wednesday.
Around 7:20 p.m., police responded to a serious motor vehicle accident on Pontiac Avenue.
Cranston police said a Toyota Corolla traveling northbound crossed the double yellow lines and collided head-on with another vehicle traveling south.
The woman driving the Toyota was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained head trauma from the accident.
Police said she was unconscious and transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
The male operator of the southbound vehicle sustained minor injuries, according to police.
Both vehicles endured significant damage to the front.
The Cranston Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating the incident.
