ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) -- A sophomore and dual athlete at Aquinas Institute has earned this week's Wednesday Primetime 585 Shining Star Spotlight!
Noah Collins Howard, class of 2027, is a wide receiver and sectional champion for the football team.
He's also made quite the impact as a track and field athlete. He's considered one of the top sprinters in the 100m dash. He ran 11.02s as a freshman, sending him to the New Balance Nationals - impressive! He's currently ranked third in Track and Field in his class across New York State.

He also earned the 2024 Outstanding Student of the Year award, which is granted to an Aquinas student each year who made waves throughout the community by volunteering, fundraising, or leadership in philanthropy.
Noah and his family recently traveled to Ghana where they took part in a project to deliver fresh water to local villages.

"The goal of the project is to create rural water supplies in the form of boreholes to respond to the lack of clean drinking water and other related health issues in remote areas of Ghana. Each borehole will literally bring 'new life' into these local communities, especially because villagers must often many walk miles in each direction, to gain access to a clean water source," his family said.
From everyone at News 8 and Primetime 585, congratulations on all your achievements! We hope you continue to share your light with the community and good luck with your future endeavors, Noah!
