HANFORD, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A hospital in Hanford welcomed their first baby born in 2025, also making the baby the first of the new Generation Beta. Photos provided by the hospital show proud parents Rachel and Jordan Kangas holding their first child. The couple is seen smiling ear to ear while holding their baby girl. Adventist Health Hanford announced on Wednesday that Amelia Jana Kangas, who weighed eight pounds and nine ounces, was born at 6:57 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2025. Jordan's grandmother was reportedly brought to tears when the parents revealed Amelia's middle name was given in honor of her stillborn baby. Amelia is also the first Generation Beta baby born in Hanford. Generation Beta is anticipated to be extremely tech-savvy and very curious.
