SILVER LAKE (KSNT) – Firefighters battled a large garage fire that threatened a nearby home in the Silver Lake area on Wednesday. Fire crews and law enforcement are at the scene of a fire in the 8600 block of Northwest 21st Street on Jan. 1. Local fire crews, including the Topeka Fire Department, are on scene helping to douse the flames. 27 News had a reporter at the scene and will add more details regarding this situation here as they become available.
