Hilton Head Island residents Angela Licona and Roberto Medina welcomed their son Robert at 1:53 a.m. January 1, 2025. The baby weighs 8 pounds. Baby Robert's New Year's hat and sash were crocheted by Merick Murdaugh and Christy Sterling, both Beaufort Memorial surgical technicians. At Coastal Carolina Hospital, Baby New Year is Maisie Elizabeth Wood. She was born at 9:16 to Anthony and Taylor Wood of Bluffton. She weighs 8 pounds and 10 ounces.
