PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A convenience store in Prince Edward County was robbed on Saturday morning, marking the second robbery at this location in less than a month. At approximately 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, deputies with the Prince Edward County Sheriff's Office responded to an alarm notification at the Pump and Pantry convenience store, located at 3810 West Third St., close to Dowdys Corner. According to the office, when deputies arrived, they noticed the front door of the store was damaged. After investigating the incident further, they discovered that both money and other merchandise were stolen. On Dec. 8, 2024, a suspect stole "an undisclosed amount of cash" from the store and fled in an SUV driven by another person.
