What We’re Tracking Cold start to 2025 Colder air this weekend Winter storm potential for the weekend Seasonable weather will kick off 2025, with temperatures reaching the lower 40s. Sunshine will dominate the afternoon, with winds coming from the west at up to 10 mph this morning. Later in the day, winds will shift to the south, raising temperatures from the low 40s into the mid-40s tomorrow. This will be short-lived as a stronger push of cold air moves in later this week. Tonight, clouds will gradually increase as a system approaches. A light dusting of snow is expected Thursday morning for counties in the northwest. A more impactful storm system will move in over the weekend. By the weekend, a winter storm looks to be brewing for the area. Ultimately, the path of the low will dictate just how much of the precipitation will fall as snow in our area, but the storm bears watching as it will bring the potential for accumulating snowfall if the path remains favorable.
