On Wednesday at 4:10 a.m. an updated lake effect snow warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 1 p.m. until Sunday 6 p.m. for Cayuga and Oswego counties.The weather service comments, "Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations 2 to 4 feet through the entirety of the prolonged event in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will result in areas of blowing and drifting snow at times."
